<p>People are actually trying to make this a word.. and others are trying to say that it is the act of gathering intelligence on your friends through social networks.   Perhaps a look at the way it is spelled might show a lack of intelligence in the latter group.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s obviously a combination of friend and diligence! And no, I don&#8217;t think it should become a word!<!-- PHP 5.x --></p>
