  1. This won’t help in the short term but hot can usually be applied to a
girl you’d date, sleep with but never take home to meet your family.

What are you losers still doing here? You have been officially IGNORED. From what I’m to understand, when Ms. Orlova is officially done with you, you are IGNORED, and are expected to go away, bugger off or whatever your favorite term for that is. Geez, don’t you guys know anything?

  5. So convenient a thing it is to be a reasonable Creature, since it enables one to find or make a Reason for everything one has a mind to do.

  6. Neuroway says:

Piercing eyes can penetrate the appearance of things. Can you hear powerful thunderbolts in static electricity? Can you feel teeny weeny static electricity in powerful thunderbolts? Behind the clouds, your blue sky is just a microscopic little egg floating to the edge of a deep black immense ocean of fireworks.

“While you are experimenting, do not remain content with the surface of things.”

  8. From the looks of things, I think M is going to have to get back to philology if she expects this site to return to its former robust and active self.

i think the key is dependable regularity.

if she want’s the site to return to its former glory, she’ll have to produce videos regular as clockwork. (eg. exactly the same day(s)/week and same time/day) And maybe give some hint of presence.
But, this site was created in the days before twitter and facebook – a bygone, simple age.  M probably doesn’t see the site as the hub of her creativity like she did before (assuming she did).

However, twitter and facebook aren’t good for creating a core community (in the way this site did). Then again, maybe she doesn’t see the need for a core HFW community. We don’t know what the actual M has going on.  All we know is the created, projected twitter/video M persona, and she aint telling.

So good to hear/see from you again. Sounds about right, Is these newer stuff, this has been on YT for awhile, but as long as it it is at least different for this site, like clockwork, yeah if you want it like before, you got to put the effort, or try your hardest and best to try and get it back on track. Yackety Yack I’m back!

  9. Neuroway says:

Your own body is a savage jungle, populated with millions of ruthless, barbarous, bloodlusting creatures, dancing to the beat of a strong drummer you can’t control. One day, the fiercest of them will make a move on you. And it will kill you.

I don’t know if you have seen this, but I really like this video, and it’s one of my own, and I very rarely like my own videos. So have a watch and tell me if you like it too… By the way my film trailer is out and I’m in it! Thats also on my channel (second newest vid) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CF64qtvQqHs

Почему Марина мне перестала нравитса? Меня бесит ее звездомания. Она стараетса как может быть популярнее и засветитса все ярче. Меня лично эта ее цель просто отпугивает.

I’d like to see someone bid one more dollar on this painting. If only to see if the person who shilled the bid up over a 1000. bucks really wants it. ;-|

There is no rest to be had in this world. The night of your conception was the night you suddenly materialized, walking towards your own death which is already waiting for you at the end of your own road. All the bridges which you cross are demolished behind you. Forward is the only way, so make sure you advance in the right direction; if you are to grow beyond the mental age of a teenager, you are going to need more, much more than epicureanism in your life.

  14. Generally speaking, you can’t, else the stock market would be a cakewalk.

    • I went there once and found it to be very impersonal. I had dinner in a little diner, and, when I got up to use the can, everything was cleared away when I came back. (I guess that is what you would call a NY minute.)

One feels like one is just another ant in the hill. You might like the excitement, etc., but it is not a place one can call his own.

i love how these videos always direct me to youtube… i hate youtube. :/

Excellent work, Marina! Very bold use of color. Its very abstract (I like abstract art) but it still has an interestingly subtle form. Well done. I’ve tried to paint in the past, but its just not my thing. I liked both your painting and how you video’d it being made.

As for my artistic endeavors (of the musical sort), I continue to struggle to find a drummer who can get the part right for my song “The Harder They Fall’. We’ve tracked everything but still need to replace the drums. I still have an excellent engineer lined up and a great studio available. So I’m vetting drummers and hope to get that done this month, and then get all the video stuff done next month, then put it out and up on youtube starting next year. I guess it’s just meant to be dropped at the start of a political year. lol This drummer impasse kind of sucks being that I feel I have a rebellious song that preceded the Arab Spring and the whole Occupy Everything movement. But so it goes… I’m sure the world will still be in turmoil by the time my song drops. And this song is it’s own thing, regardless of the political flavors of the month.

Anyway, not sure what the HotForWords hiatus was all about, but I hope our trusty teach is back and better than ever. All my best, and I’ll keep you posted on my musical progress. Peace and love, Errin

p.s. I have a new, better laptop now that can watch HFW vids without overheating. Yay!

  21. Neuroway says:

Guten morgen, Amaricans! And Gawd bless yar great, free, brave country (Texas or Amarica I think, perhaps the US, not shure fer shure) and each and avery one of the 400,000,000 of yas (in da limits of da possibl, of coarse). Ya know, friendos (and friendas), I tell ya it is true, I am afflicted by a terribl birth defect since birth. Ah, sorrow! Ah, calamity! Ah, misfortune! I am indeed and effectively colourblind, unfoartunately. Could someone kindly help me and let me know the dominant colours in that fine piece of art please? What colours were used to paint this geisha? Are they well mixed like a fine subtle perfume or detonating like crazy? Also, why do you think the artist mixed them like that? And why were these colours used in the first place, and not other ones? Also, what makes this painting an “immortal Geisha” and not an “old germanic prostitute”, for instance, or why not a “young greek maid”? Why an immortal japanese geisha? Anyone got any idea?

Thanks in advance for all your creative answers! I am dying to read them!

    new thread eh?

sooooo … no offence M and us lot here, but, given the quality of your audience, you’d get better results if your painting was made up of your used underwear glued to a canvas.

(good painting tho – but, i’m from yorkshire – and we yorkshire folk never part with money if we can possibly help it)

Good luck in selling your painting.  I hope some collector will take a risk that it will greatly increase in value as you become even more famous.
