Site news, logging in and commenting
Hey guys, I had something running on the site called Single Sign On, which allowed us to be logged into the site and then automatically logged into DISQUS.. but while I was making updates to the site and clearing the cache, it would make it so that some people could comment as me! Whoops!
As it turns out, my site is highly cached, and it can’t really handle cookies properly, so I am implementing something that will alleviate this problem.
When you want to make comments from now on, if you are not logged into DISQUS already, just go to the comment area, type in a comment, then click the “Post as …” button:
A window will pop up where you can log into DISQUS and the comment will post. You can log in with your current DISQUS login if you have logged into DISQUS before or one of the other means.
If you haven’t logged into DISQUS before, but have an account on HotForWords, then create an account on DISQUS using the same email address you used on HotForWords, and it will allow you to merge the account with your previous comments on HotForWords.
If you don’t remember what email address you used on HotForWords, you can get to your profile by logging into here.
Sorry about all of these changes. I have experienced problems for the past month or so, and the best way for me to alleviate them is to put this system into place.

And here is the site or Metal Group that seems to have been taken away, I know that probably doesn’t me much, or if anything to most of you, But I worked and slaved my guts out to bring this art and entertainment, which it always was and will be! And was never meant for anything other than that, I acted out a Cos-playing, on Horror, and extreme Metal, and different styles, and other things I bring to make the atmosphere and believability, to as be as close to reality as possible, Is it not the work of an artist/creator, to try his best and keep pushing the limits, and reaching new heights, and keep reaching and stretching the limits to any and every heights possible, or even deemed impossible!, and go as far as one can in expressing oneself, and for the sake of the art. I can’t and willn’t allow this total raping of justice and my freedom and rights, you can’t condemn some, and praise, or allow others to keep going, and a lot of their stuff is the same, and they do go off track, but it adds to the entertainment, You pull out what you feel is need, and called for to make the art/expression, and the entertainment, to be the best it can be, and be as real, and imitate life, and create a Horror show theme to make the dream or unbeileavable, to make the illusion seem as real as I could. I didn’t do one damn thing wrong, or should be punishing, or even allow to take that away from me! How would you feel, or anyone else get treated, and acted upon in such a wrong, and totally across the line of the law, and justice, Our freedom of speech, and of expression, and other freedom and rights that protect “We The People” . I have done nothing wrong, and was completely well within my rights to do and post and act the way I did, and will keep doing the same if not here or soon, then alone, or some other way, I came to find this place a home away from home, Where I could. speak, say,act, create, Express myself, through any of the arts I seen fit. There is either no one hear, or if they are don’t seem to want to even try and talk to me, and communicate, and make themselves know, instead of just waiting for certain people to show up before they come forth, or hide in their forum;s or groups, and leave me for dead! There’s no censorship here Neo. Marina had to turn the switch off for the group forums and private messaging because her sys admin told her that these things were making her site crash. The rock-metal group is part of the group forums along with the private messaging:

Yes you where right never should have done or said what I did, my apologizes to you sorry for that complete dousy of a messup! I been trying all afternoon and night, now eating it’s way into the early morning, and I hardly did or got anything done, I would never be able to fit in or be accept into your metal group, no one understood, or cared for what I like, just a freak without a cause! Well, Well, Well, Look What The Cat Dragged In, LOL. I have always loved and respected Queen in all their awesomeness! Rush was OK, with a little bit of kick and edge. I’m not posting as guest, and I’m not trying to compete, or copy, or steal, or repeat anything, if possible, but some bands and artist’s I can never get enough off, music, and lyric wise, or one or the other, or a combo of both, Mostly as long it is loud, heavy, and brings out the metal gods and beasts to their feet, hard heavy and extreme, mix with horror, you got Neo Extreme Metal, but I can mix it up, and change at times, but I mostly stay true to form and in character, expressing and creating, an all in one strike, and to stay good and true to at least some or all of these type elements, that most don’t seem to care, like, or want any part off most of the time. My tastes and likes, just don’t seem to be very well liked, understood, or received, or something missing, or just not quit right! Why are you so sensitive on what everyone thinks about your postings? As long as you like it and get some sort of gratification from it that’s all that should really matter and you’re not going to satisfy EVERYBODY’s tastes. Truly, are you feeling OK? Why would you think that you are being punished? You should carefully consider what VenomRock has discussed (see her reply below). No person (or group of people) on this site was targeted when the Metal Group was suspended. You should realize that the Metal group was not the only group on this site that got pulled… they were ALL pulled. So this cannot be an attack on you. The groups were disabled, not deleted. The reason was made clear, and Marina was open and apologetic for the need. You should know this, since you posted a dozen or more comments on the article that discusses this very topic. I hope you would agree that having the site working (temporarily without the groups) is more desirable than having no site at all? Be patient. In the meantime, there is a FORUM for Metal that you can enjoy. It was started 5 months ago by VR. There’s no need to go Atomic, Dog.

Okay this has taken me all afternoon, all night, and may continue on to the very early morning, I tried and retried, lost and relost my data, have thought and rethought, read and reread over and over all the stuff that was and has become of this, I had to do a lot of soul searching, and trying to find and locate the real me, or what I think and consider as so, I wasn’t there and didn’t want to, or even know how to make a forum, I was talking groups, or even wanted to be in a group, so the starters of this must have made this group with me know or seeing other wise than it being a forum, that’s what I always thought, and know of this as, never would have guessed or known this I had to dig through a lot within me, and a lot of stuff said and did, and any proof to why my Forum, or so I always thought it to be true all this time, and never knew or thought of my metal thing as being a part or be among the groups, no one ever told me, or disagreed or told me any different, So I thought, and always felt it to be true to be a forum somehow, OKay this is getting harder and harder for me to do, all the voices, the speed, just zipping, and whirling around my brain at unbelievable speeds, and all such a blur, and hard to track down or trace what I want to find, or wish to unearth, the real me, not Neo, and his different forms, He is part of me in away, I don’t know how or why, it just seems so, I tried telling myself, this is just a website, and cyberspace, and it or the characters shouldn’t matter or mean as much to me as they do. Hang-gliding

Silent Treatment
Mike and Joan were having some problems at home and were giving each other the “silent treatment.” But then Mike realized that he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 am for an early morning drive with some pals to go golfing.
Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and so lose the ‘war’), he wrote on a piece of paper, “Please wake me at 5:00am.”
The next morning, Mike woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 am and that his friends had left for the golf course without him. Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn’t awakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed.
The paper said, “It’s 5:00 am. Wake up.”
Men simply are not equipped for these kinds of contests
The Parrot
A young man named John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird’s mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity.
John tried and tried to change the bird’s attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to “clean up” the bird’s vocabulary.
Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even ruder.
John, in desperation, threw up his hand, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer. For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed. Then suddenly there was total quiet. Not a peep was heard for over a minute.
Fearing that he’d hurt the parrot, John quickly opened the door to the freezer. The parrot calmly stepped out onto John’s outstretched arms and said “I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I’m sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior.”
John was stunned at the change in the bird’s attitude.
As he was about to ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, the bird continued, “May I ask what the turkey did?”

I will be glad and hope that the post and replies, keeps showing up in my email in-box, it is of very great help, and saves me a lot of hassle, and searching around to find when or if someone does make a comment to me. You can also reply to the comment by replying to the email and it posts the reply on to the website.. it’s pretty cool! Try it sometime.. I think it strips our your signature if you have one.. though I’m not 100% sure on that.. so you might want to make sure you don’t include your phone number at the bottom of your email if you reply via email.
How does that work, or how can you do that? I have no clue or idea as to how to use this feature?
Marina, thanks for being patient with us and our demands on your attention. Apparently we all love this site and can’t wait for it to get back on track. We’re still having technical issues (like the disappearing replies)… well, I know I am still having that issue… and I am trying my best to be polite and patient in kind. But hurry up already! This is driving me nutty! :-)

What about my notifications, I very rarely get any of them, is this what could be blocking them are they marked as spam, and what is white listed, or what does it do. Is there anything you can do to help me get my notifications, or does this have anything to do with it. Something is stopping, or keeping these email notices that I very rarely get! Is there something on my end, or something that you could try, how can you tell if someone is marked as spam, I been putting up with this no notifications for a long time now. Well whatever I was just hoping or wishing this could be corrected, and this sounds like it maybe what it is stopping me from getting my stuff as well!
You’ve probably not received notifications due to the recent and ongoing tech changes on this site. If you want to make sure you are getting your notifications, now that we have the single login through Disqus, you’ll need to look at your profile in Disqus. Login, if you aren’t already, and update your notifications there and save them. There will be some lag time between this site and your email server, so don’t expect instantaneous notifications. Your notifications are not being blocked as spam. Marina is referring to some of the “disappearing comments” that I was experiencing. My replies were going into a spam folder. As for “whitelisting,” that phrase is an antonym for “blacklisting.” Being blacklisted is to be denied access. Whitelisting clears all obstacles. As with PD, Marina has removed any guards against my account, to prevent my comments from going to spam. This is likely due to our long association with the site, earned trust (I hope), and HFW’s open and accepting nature.

Just did a test with a pic and a YT link and its gone. When I pushed post it went in the lineup like normal, but after refreshing it was gone..or somewhere.
Is was logging in as word press, and disqus, up until now that is, I keep logging in as the matrix75, my picture only appears on my disqus account, in the upper left hand corner, or if it does so it only lasts a few moments, then this site take back come loggin control, I can’t log in the usual way or find the change avatar, or delete account, or any of this stuff avialiable to me on this site, but I will try what you said, I have and did many times, try this very thing, and many other things, this site just logs me in and out at will, it will log me into my Hot Words Words right away, or wait just a little while, then log in to my HFW account, then when it fwwls like it, it will log me in and out of this site, and the disqus account the same, but it forces my ACCOUNT BACK TO YOUR SITE OR hOT fOR wORDS LOGIN, WITHOUT DOING, OR TOUCHING ANYTHING, IF i LOG ONTO DISQUS WHICH IS THE ONLY SITE THAT WILL ALLOW ME TO DO, EVEN EVEN THE OPTION VISIBLE OR USABLE, AND IT STILL AUTOMATICALLY LOGGS RIGHT BACK INTO THIS SITE Sorry just notice I hit the caps lock with my many thumbs, didn’t notice or see this until know, Well what ever it is I hope it is fixed and running properly soon, and the forums come back, would be very great and awesome to be able to use and experience them again, Peace, and hope to see you soon Marina, and everyone here at Hot For Words! Hello Marina, I never did, or had that gravatar, I didn’t want it, somehow I just got it. I’m not sure just got on, but now my avatar for the moment is showing up. But who knows if it will stick or stay that way, I got my avatar to stay for just a little bit, then it would change back in a few minutes or less, back to the blue G thing, which I never uploaded or wanted it, didn’t even know that it existed until just lately, for some reason it kept showing up. I hope that my avatar stays the way it is now. But who knows, Let me see if it works and stays like it is right now! Mmm? One the first comment there’s a “Like” and a “Reply” , on the second there’s a Edit and Reply button. I’ve never seen a Like button on one of my own comments. Maybe its because i change my avatar that I can like my own comment? Let’s see what this on does.
