Is that the coolest thing ever or what?! How fun!
You do know what this means don’t you? A comic that teaches the reader something? I see national comic strip in your future. BOOM!!!!!

  • leoNard

Marina is the queen of subscriptions…the toons(tunes) are cars racing for fun…

  • Dezdkado

Internet, TV, and now comic strips… what new medium will Marina appear in next?

  • Dezdkado

It was a cool tribute… though the strip club reference seemed out of place. I’m sure it was all meant in fun. Page Doll makes a good point. If you have a willing artist, you could introduce a fun (comic strip) lesson for English students in any school grade. I can imagine that boys, who usually fall behind girls in scholastic performance in this subject, would find great stimulus to their brains… in the speech centers of the cerebral cortex and (for certain) the occipital lobe.

  • wetsuit5

That was pretty darn clever and very cool.
Now we need an action cartoon with with you and Gorby and the chineese film speaking delay.

Marina you always get the “zyzzva”

  • CheVolay

So is that made in Photoshop?

Well, now, that’s just cheating, isn’t it? If you are going to depend on a photo to generate the images, why not just leave them as they are instead of “drawingizing” them? There are plenty of artists in the world that can draw, so why not let them do it? Wouldn’t part of the fun be to see how closely an artist can capture the subject?

Animated cartoons started out with a mouse. I hope they don’t end there (with the clicking kind).

Make a collector comic book, I’d want to have it. Better yet, have an Andy Warhol type print made of yourself. How about a “flip” book? I could see a “GAF View Master” disc so the comic would be in 3D. So much marketing, so little time!

  • Lennie

Wouldn’t that be ironic if they would use comic books as a teaching tool. Because in the past many people, including many teachers, thought comic books were bad for children.

Check out this guy singing Gun n’ Roses – Sweet Child O’ Mine I consider this song to be one of Marina’s official unofficial theme songs…top three.
He completely shreds it!! The dude rips. He could be the new Axle if he could sing all the songs. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve sometimes pictured Marina as Lara in “Doctor Zhivago.” Or is the resemblance only {spurious}?

  • BigBhd95

What would deleting your account really mean? Do you want to delete every comment you have ever made since day one? (Who’s got the time to do that and what’s to be done with other’s replies to your comments?) Other than that, what’s the difference between having an existing account and not having one? How would anyone be able to tell?

You can always go into your account and zero out any info if you wish to leave no bread crumbs behind. Otherwise, simply steal away into the cybernight. Ta ta.

Should one interpret intellectual badass as being worse or better than an iintellectual goodass?

  • Dezdkado

Ironic indeed… the child in me thinks such a use would be “uber cool”, and the pragmatist in me is glad for anything (within reason) that inspires a child to read.

When I was in elementary school, I had an elder brother who was in medical school. He could not sell some of his used textbooks, and so let me have them. I was fascinated by them… mostly the pictures and diagrams, as much of the collegiate-level technical and medical language was far above me. I took one book to school with me, a reference on the human gestation cycle entitled “Before We Are Born.” It was not expressly forbidden material, but one of my teachers decided that it was inappropriate and disruptive. I was sent to the principal’s office and my mother was summoned to deal with her child and his problematic reading material. I can still hear her response to the principal, “Let me see if I understand you fully… you want me to discipline my child because he’s studying a science book? I can hardly get him to sit still to do his usual homework.”
