How to link to a specific spot in a YouTube video (Updated)
You can now stop a YouTube video, RIGHT-CLICK the video and select “Copy video URL at current time.” As seen below in the image. It will give you the code that I mention in this post.
This only works if you are watching the video on YouTube. If you are watching the video embedded on a site, just click twice within the video to get to the video on YouTube.
The code to link to a specific spot in a video appends the time-code to the end of the URL… &t=ms
For example, the video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2n4j5v9QOWQ
If you just link to that URL you will get the whole video from the beginning.
But, if you link to:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2n4j5v9QOWQ#t=85s
you will go right to the spot 1 minute and 25 seconds in.
