This is a pretty cool video. I’m glad you posted this from your tweet.
We can just hope that DK books’ message is a trend that’s here to stay.

“Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.” ~Charles W. Eliot~

….Speaking of DK: Halloween Dead Kennedy’s style

Homework for Russian Word Lesson, Varyen’ye: Any red jam will do. Strawberry, raspberry or
    cherry.

  2. That was cool. As the son / nephew / brother of 4 Librarians, and literally raised in a Library, I was all set to be cheesed off at this, and leap to the defense of my beloved books. Somewhat of a palindrome. Neat.

I had some silly dream in the early 90′s that this home for girls ignored a bookcase full of books but were rivited to videos on the TV!

  7. Cyberquill says:

A contra-palindrome. Fascinating. Of course, it’s Marina narrating the clip the way she really talks when she isn’t doing her cute little Russian accent routine, which never fooled me for a second (although I must admit she does it very well).

      Palindromes/semordnilaP
Semordnilap is a name coined for a word or phrase that spells a different word or phrase backwards. “Semordnilap” is itself “palindromes” spelled backwards. According to author O.V. Michaelsen, it was probably coined by logologist Dmitri A. Borgmann and appeared in Oddities and Curiosities, annotated by Martin Gardner, 1961. Semordnilaps are also known as volvograms

Hello everyone, how are you doing? Is everyone in class feeling good today? What’s everyone been up to lately? This video was awesome, I think it’s all true, that books are still be used, and enjoyed, That we care about environment, and the things that matter most in life! I also agree that we don’t need to follow trends, just because everyone is doing it! Make your own choices, because you like it, or enjoy it. Is there a new book in the works, as I type Marina! I loved the first book you made. and I’m sure you would at least equal or surpass your last effort, if indeed, you are considering making another book! Goodbye to you all, enjoy your life, and peace to everybody! I hope to hear from some of you, it’s always good to hear from your fellow classmates, teachers, and good friends!
