The more times I watch it, the more I realize how horrible the writing was.
Marina did get the best part, and her performance was easily the most convincing, even given the cheesy action scene.
All in all, it was a camp review or a fraternity skit; given the roles played by the men (whose sexual imperative is in question).
It shows a trend from Hollywood that I began to notice in acting done by folks like Ben Stiller in ‘(WTF?) Something about Mary”. Women are empowered and given masculine, stronger roles to play while men are the dithering, insipid weak characters no heterosexual woman would ever play.
I think the conclusion is that actors are becoming too gay for the mainstream audience, and are too self centered and self absorbed to understand that this is a result of tunnel vision on their part.I say: bring back the strong character actors once so prevalent in American films (John Wayne, Henry Fonda, Steve Mc Queen, Glenn Ford, James Garner, et al) and let the Rock Hudson closet cases fall away into obscurity….then do the same with the House and the Senate! Let’s get our nation of leaders to be and behave like “men” and lose the gay morons soooo determined to shove homosexuality down our throats as being mainstream and acceptable for a conduct of behaviour.A recent study in UK has concluded that a mere one (1) percent of the population there is homosexual. Taxation without representation is not legal, yet is happening to smokers in this country every day. This is an open engagement by the US government and it’s agencies in a tradition inspired by the Nazi regime of the ’40′s. …and nobody in the ‘bought and paid for’ media is saying a single word against it!

Also my IQ was last tested to be 145. Although I am neither atheist nor socialist, I like Bertrand Russell. I think Russell was rather a minor contributor to philosophy, but a great popularizer of philosophy and logic and one of the greatest erudites in history. I like also his publicist writings, even if I don’t support socialistic views.

On the other hand the difference between knowledge and erudition seems to be like between a book and a table of content. Russel tried to know everything about everything and finally didn’t elaborate anything really great.

My problem with philosophers is that, although there is nothing wrong with trying to learn as much as possible about as much as possible, the result is sometimes so subjective that there is no clear right or wrong answer, yet some “philosophers” force feed their interpretation to the masses as an absolute truth. I’m not fond of being told what to think, and I’ve spent my life dealing with the cold hard realities of existence, so perhaps I’m just not wired for people like BR. Then further down the epxressway a black camaro had its tire blow out in front of me while two new bright red cars tried to hem me in to try to prevent me from swerving off into the adjacent lanes to avoid crashing into the suddenly stopped car on the expressway! They let me change lanes at the last minute. A bit of a scare there. But I did make my law appointment; but Sam Bolotin would no help me sue the government anyway!!

In Russian Assassin, there’s a long scene in a car with a woman(?) holding a small dog and yelling loudly. If a kid’s head was where the dog’s head was, it would be very painful and likely produce a headache and possible hearing damage. A dog’s hearing is several times more sensitive than a human’s, hence, the above negatives would be magnified several times for the dog. Please avoid such situations in the future.
