Hey guys! I just moved to a new server, but the move is causing people to have some issues with logging in. If you cannot log in to comment, then please clear your cache and your cookies and then log in again.
Here is info on how you clear your cache and cookies.
You should be fine after doing that. If you still can’t log in, send me an email by clicking here, and I’ll see what I can do.
Oh.. and why are they called cookies in the first place? Might make for a good lesson :-)

I noticed the edit problem too but it was only at 8 levels deep… where there would be no reply button. Keep going and you might see it happen.
edit: Ouch… all the tests are gone
The comment box gets smaller and smaller as you go deeper but that is a good thing because your comment will also have that same width.
But the “click to edit” text gets schmooshed into nothing as you go deep.
You can still see the edit button, though, correct?

You know, I am kind-of sick of the website not responding, the server “not found” The “error 404″ when visiting a member profile, the avatars not uploading, the tabs of the top bar appearing on the left column, not being able to log in, pages taking 3 years to load. So I am going to leave for a week or so and let you figure this all out.

The tabs that used to be at the top of the page now appear as a left hand column which overlays the normal page layout. This bug displays both while logged out and logged in.
That was quick. That issue now appears to have been fixed.
Yes… one time someone reported a problem or something and she wrote “Why is this? So weird!” then she figured it out and wrote up the explanation in under 3 minutes.

p.s. when you change DNS numbers, sometimes it takes a while for them to catch up all over the internet

I do a version of Zombie (Cranberries) and What if God (Joan Osborne) where I have melodies of the vocals imposed over the main melody so it sounds like two people playing separately.
I don’t capo so much; I detune and

Yep… you only get the latest version of this page if you are logged on.
Now it reverts back 20 hours.
When I logged in with firefox it updated but I logged out and came back and it reverted right back. Then I used safari and it is also 20 hours ago.

Well… The explanation is kinda technical (combined data hashes and auth domains) but essentially if you ticked the box to say Remember Me, you were left a cookie that persisted without being overwritten on a new login. The problem was not restricted to logins for comments it was applicable to logins full stop. However, clearing the cookie cache forced regeneration with the correct credentials with the current domain hash.
Depending on whether you had configured your browser to eliminate cookies upon a new session (usually for privacy reasons) depends on whether the cookies remained persistent from session to session.
I like the white theme Marina. Makes my mood a lot lighter, even if I do still need a hug.. *sighs*

Marina, I had some trouble uploading my avatar. On some of the images I could not crop them, there were just 2 boxes with question marks.
I been having problem logging in and getting to the website on the new server.At first it only had taken me a few tries to get the the website.This last time it had taken me forever to finally get back to your new website,and be able to post.It was hours this past time. I couldn’t get to the new website.I cleared the cookies and deleted my history.It just seem to started working all of a sudden!Not even after I cleared my cookies and history and stuff ,it still wouldn’t work after doing that.I just seemed to get lucky to get to your new site Marina,not sure what is causing me to have problems getting to the website,it either never loads up or a get a error that this website does not exist,or is having problems.Hopefully this will be the last time I have trouble accessing this website!Thank you for your time :!:

Never had the problem – just re-logged in after the server move. Using Mozilla Firefox 3.6.7
I forgot to tell you I used a bunch of different browsers trying to log on and nothing worked so it might not have been cookies or cache but it’s working now so that doesn’t matter anymore :cool:

The Netscape-browser was the first to implement cookies, they came up with the idea to add it for webpages.
Here is a correct but not perticularly useful, actually a bit disappointing description:
