Critique

Here is a nice critique I just found.  I’m a little late here (it’s almost a year old!), but I thought it was nice what he said.

    Good Morning!

Yes that was nice of him to say that though if I am honest I think he rather missed the point and you have summed it up brilliantly.

    Intelligence is Sexy

Sometimes you are at your most beautiful when you are most true.

    :)

  • dvdpage

Value….In humans the five physical {senses} are,
    1.Hearing
    2.Sight
    3.Smell
    4.Taste
    5.Touch….

    …good job Miss Marina!

 peace—- passed a woman in the grocery store last week and her perfume took my breath away!

    Dear Marina,
He’s right, of course. You provide both “sizzle” (in your lovely looks) and “substance” (insights of value about words), You also add great music, images, great backgrounds, sound effects, and you use props, like helmets, toy guns, a football and others. Plus, you act out parts, such as a used car salesman, the horny boy with a backwards baseball cap, the damsel in distress on the railroad tracks, and many more. Yes, I enjoy watching your videos and I think I gain knowledge from watching them. Keep up the good work.

…and here we are, a year later
TJ Walker nailed it pretty good.

@ Marina – Did you do any lesson video footage with Jamesington while you were across the pond?

Excellent video and I would like to augment
that the sizzle is all about Marina’s personality,
passion, insightful humor and piercing intellect and
her keen understanding of technology and many more things.

As TJ Walker said in the video above, Marina offers
one or several insights into the origin of a word
which becomes a springboard to further connections to word knowledge.

What Marina does is to open the door to a world of language
and linguistics that I might otherwise have not looked into.
In Marina’s book, she is passionately alive as she is in her
videos which makes the book fun to read in her own engaging style.

    I’m second the request :!:
This mystery must be solved since I’m still thinking how to kill James.
    p.s.
    about to kill is joke

She’s funny, too  – especially when “sister’s” around. ;-)
I had a bio instructor who was a riot :!: I remember the most from his teaching style because of just that.

I agree with the critique, as well as with the comments below, about Marina’s many talents. Marina is extraordinary and cannot be summarized in the few crude cliches that the YouTube commenters usually come up with.

For me, it’s Marina’s personality that attracts me most of all. The person who is Marina is so full of life, so happy to be alive, so warm and engaging, and so much fun that she can’t help but captivate us all.

I love words, but if Marina was teaching us about economics I would still come back for more. (And, she probably does know a lot about economics, as well as video, software, graphic arts, and musical notation. What a woman!)

Marina – he hit the nail on the head. It’s not just about being sexy (which everyone with a pair of working eyes knows), but it’s about the whole package, and honey – you have it!

  • iluv2cutfarts

P.S. Marina! What is going on with Brezh??? I have not seen anything in quite a while out on Daily Bunny!

This critique was referring to videos made a year ago, and older. This critique is not applicable to the videos being produced recently. Things have changed. Back then, the sizzle was the good looks, and the substance held quality educational value. Now, the substance has largely been replaced with fluff and filler, although Miss Marina still has the sizzle looks going for her.

He also has another video in which he expounds further on the Substance vs. Style. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URqGNQ5u03A

Sizzle and Substance, yeah that’s the ticket.

Marina, It’s never too late to post. ;-)

  • swampwiz

And I thought Marina was going to give us the origin of the word “critique”. :x

vot eto da he pretty much says it all hits the nail on the head. I been off the grid for awhile and will be till I replace my old putter.

  • http://www.hotforwords.com/members/cohlera/ wasnme

that’s not even a critique! i guess… i mean.. u r the teacher.. defnition of the word critique plz?

I really like this dude’s comments. He has the big picture in sight. I get so frustrated at the people who over-simplify the Lady’s quality. She definitely does sizzle, but she is so much more than that.
