As far as the recording session goes, why is she using autotune*? That’s how I pronounce it, but when I get lazy, I don’t annunciate the “i” and slur right over it where it can sound like “dee-tee”

Larysa being Ukrainian, I’m sure you both spoke Russian before you spoke English.

Just an interesting point:
The Home page counter is an animated version of the static counter on the BIO page which is 299,545,593 located near the book cover.
The static count is incorrect as it is broken and not synchronized with the actual counts. The author of the counter needs to do some tweaks.

The animated counter on the Home page is the exact same counter, except that it projects forward at the actual rate of views which is 3.4 views per second. When that counter reaches the count equivalent to a day, it resets, but the counter can be programmed to reset at different points. Normally, if the counter were working, the counter would reset to the then current views count.

As you stated it does mean being one with the Berliners, in other words being in spirit with the people of Berlin and can also mean that one was born there and claiming that location as their birth location or having moved there and being from there. But of course, certain slogans do take on a spirit of their very own. For example, the slogan, “I ♥ NYC”.

For example, I might say, “I’m a Californian” which rolls of the tongue easily, but saying, “I’m a Washingtonian” or whatever the correct form is, is more awkward as it is for lots of other locations.

About 4 weeks ago or so, I started having stuttering problems when viewing videos. Then, last week, everything is back to normal again. I thought it might also have been YouTube as YT has been weird since after they changed everyone over to they new channel format. (not new video page format)

But, in my case, it could also have been a local ATT issue. About a quarter mile from my house are a bunch of those green “B” boxes and nearby is also an underground bunker which houses a bunch of electronics. Recently, the ATT guy has been working in the bunker which I presume means that they found some issues and repaired them.

So, as of right now, everything is working great for me.
If you think it is a YT issue, look at your browser status bar and look at the caching server that your video is coming from. Most of the time, the problem occurs there.

Normally, YT wouldn’t be throttling bandwidth since they can just set the delivery bandwidth as needed. But, your ISP doing additional throttling is a very good possibility.

I really didn’t care for blondes, for they seem to be to phony. Over the years, I have become very attracted to blondes with very long hair. I don’t care for short haired blondes though. They too much look like a guy. There is this lady I just seen today with a boy cut and bleached blonde hair. It’s so unattractive, it’s repulsive.

I don’t agree that her new style makes her look older. It’s how one carries oneself that determines youthful look.

I know what you mean about the conspiracy angle, but actually, YouTube has not only been making cosmetic changes, but has been making a lot of changes on the backend in how they capture, record and analyze the metrics of users. I follow various YT blogs including the developer blog and they have made a lot of changes to everyone, and there are a ton more changes coming down the pike in the next 6 months. Let’s just say, YT isn’t sitting still, and one can say that the YT changes will be perpetual.

By the way, the metrics overload forces YT to make certain decisions and is very similar to Twitter. Under certain conditions and based on certain other rules, some tweets will not make it to the timeline. For YT, certain videos view counts may be updated weekly or even monthly and some videos, even though the views are updated publicly, are no longer being counted internally.

Ok in the past I have been on other internet providers using wifi to my yacht. Now Im in an office with Ethernet cable connected to Verizon’s DSL service. I get about 3megs down and 600k up. Not very fast but enough for YT. So we are on different providers and having speed issues. That tells me it’s YT. Im guessing YT is cutting there bandwidth expenses by throttling some servers or accounts. I have a gut felling if I had FIOS that I would still have a similar issue. I need to find someone who has FIOS and test out my theory.

For the last week I have not had any problems.
I use NetPerSec to monitor my bandwidth and right now, I have randomly looked at 10 different YT videos and they are all loading in almost an instant. On the netPerSec graph it is a blip instead of a drawn out download like it was a couple of weeks ago. In my case, it was most likely my local ISP who had the problem . Local DSL cards in the ATT bunker go out occasionally.

Voice of Russia sent me the name of the lady singer who performed it on their MOSCOW MAILBAG segment in answer to my query. I also think I recognized her singing the old Radio Moscow theme song which was only an instrumental on the SW radio. And one sounded like the song THOSE WERE THE DAYS which my dead dad enjoyed but here it was in english. I played the lady singing KALINKA four or five times since that is what I bought the CD for. Ok from the stats you just showed, it looks to me that they are throttling the Standard 360p (which Im using) and boosting the HighDef 720. You should have seen the same Mb/s for both formats. Is this just someones idea of forcing users to use the HD format? Maybe force the internet providers to offer more bandwidth to the masses? You know that there are countries like South Korea that can get 60Mb/s for about $60 US a month. I have a friend that is from the Philippines and he has a cellphone that does live video conferencing. It’s that it won’t work her in the US. So I know darn well that we are being suckered with our credit cards.

The problem as I read them is the issue of upgrading versus replacing versus new installation. In countries that never had a communications infrastructure to replace, it’s easy to install new technology. Here in the US with a lot of the old 20+ year old technology in place, it is tougher to rip things up and replace them.

In my area, about 10 years ago, just when DSL prices started to plummet, Southwestern Bell (SBC) merged with ATT (’05). But, in San Bernardino, the old 20+ years infrastructure was GTE with older equipment who then merged with Verizon, but that area has both Verizon and ATT lines.

In my area they started laying fiber about 6 years ago and replacing all of the old “B” boxes and underground circuits. But, in other parts of the US, they already had fiber in many locations such in the Midwest. I have a telephone junction box in my yard and they replaced that also, but not with fiber. So, the last mile is still copper everywhere.

I wasn’t impressed at first for I though she was just vanity, like most blondes that I run across. Like so many times, Marina changed my view. I later started to view blonde differently, that some do die their hair for a change. Change is good. It’s always nice to change up your looks ever once in awhile. One thing about hair is you can always change it. Though to often you can fry it.

This video was the ultimate proof of Marina’s sense of humor and other positive assets of personality. She deliberately included in this clip a woman who was (let me be objective) prettier than her, had bigger you-know-what and took the whole viewers’ attention away from her. Not every woman would decide on something like that.
