Not that I’m aware of. I’m typically anti-hooligan(s), but I do get a kick out of watching the occasional soccer riots on TV whenever they get rowdy enough to make the news…although I REALLY dislike destroyers – so at the point they start damaging perfectly good stuff I am far less amused.

I would use the ‘r’ word to describe such behavior, but it probably qualifies more as the other ‘f’ word – ‘fu*ktarded’ – although since I haven’t posted that follow-up commentary/novel to your ‘retarded’ video detailing and deconstructing my use of the ‘r’ word yet, I wouldn’t want to use it and accidentally have it taken in anything less or more than the intended context.

Of course it depends on the specific crowd/people being referenced, but I would typically use hooligans in a derogatory sense to describe the dumbasses that get drunk and try to start fights at bars – and that ain’t cool.

Classy is cool last time I checked.

I found the song! The original version I heard was a little more old Irish folk. I do, however, like the Pogues and Sharon Shannon has an appropriate voice. This has kind of a reggae beat but the [lyrics] are included. I know you said “hooley” was a party, but to me it almost seems sexual in the context of this song. Who cares! My guess is that you are calculating the 28 hours from the home page counter which right now shows 299,796,610. The YouTube profile page shows 290,655,684 uploaded views.

My understanding is that the YT views are near real time being updated every hour or so. I believe the home page counter is a projection based on a rate of views from the current views.

In any event, the difference between the counters is 9 million some views which is huge where I would go with the YT views which I believe is the current most accurate views minus an hours or so.
