I’ve not yet seen Avatar; been waiting for the hype (and thus crowd) to die down a bit. I’ve been working on Corel’ing up an avatar for myself in what spare time that I have at work.
BTW what’s up with this wired.com voting thing? Been voting for the obvious choice, but wired’s putting in a capability to “down vote” people just seems to make room for the mean spirited types to go there while their cages are being cleaned at YouTube to randomly use this option just to be nasty. Also, a black box is traditionally used to recover data in cash of a plane crash or other disaster. The black square is from a photo of some running shoes I wore for a race called the Bay to Breakers. The photo wasn’t reduced by their software. :-(

I saw Avatar with my 75 year old Mother, to show her the visual capability of my Edge of Heaven book series. I’m already working on __________ and will be filing copyright and trademark on that by mid January and showing a short story version to agents and studio execs in Los Angeles when I hit town in February. It’s a much better story than Avatar (which I thought was too typically American: simple minded good guys/bad guys Bush era).

Having learned from MO’s HFW model, I’m really MUCH more interested in the 3D PC technology from Nvidia and producing an online team of creatives (ie young “cartoon” artists and talent) to serialize my stories on Youtube as pay-per-subscription- than in scoring a big studio deal on the six book series. But I know where the real money is: Mass marketing to people too disadvantaged or simply too dumb to type “http:”

Having had breakfast with Dan Parks, (President and Creative Director of Corporate Planners Unlimited, Inc.) at a local tweetup, I can say I was fascinated with what he had to say about what is coming, for the online virtual world. Check out the way of the future, & for some, the new way of meeting with others at conventions etc. Imagine if the world leaders had left behind their private jets & limousines to meet in a virtual Copenhagen… they may not have appeared so hypocritical… this all within the virtual world of second life… check it out “Virtualis Convention and Learning Center(TM)“

Second Life, for some may be getting a little old, but for others “It’s a platform where I can be more myself, than I am in real life… I love it”. The last movie I saw at the theater was “Mars Attacks”. It was on a Super Bowl Sunday and we had the whole place to ourselves. Just as the opening credits rolled a guy sat right in front of us!
