    I loved the Bloomberg article on you. It puts you and what you do in a good light, especially considering some of the hacks that can be found on YouTube these days. It was great, both for you, and for YouTube. I especially liked Ms. Kazakina’s subtle reference to your cleavage, paraphrasing Lenin’s descriptive term for Western apologists of his philosophy. Keep up the great work.

    This is a great article. It’s great watching you grow in popularity, while still being yourself. I still enjoy you Marina. I find a lot of joy sharing in your success. In some strange way I feel a small part of it.

    When they use the term “heavy Russian accent”, the expectation is for slow speech and troublesome syntax, with the listener having difficulty understanding words, here ‘n’ there . None of that is the case in Marina’s English. . It would be more accurate to state that Marina teaches with a Russian accent. It’s a minor point, but it’s been mentioned before in articles. In the English language world, everybody has an accent, from the Queen of England to Sarah Palin to the Geico gecko. To my ears, a Russian accent is sexy…if coming from a woman. The pic of Marina chosen for the article meets with my approval, with it’s eye catching appeal do to it’s composition and subject matter.

        I had something like that happen to me so I can relate. The papers were more of the, ugh, legal variety so all I could do was retreat and ride it out. She still brings it up about twice a year to see if the knife still twists!

      That bit caught my eye too! I saw the film before I new about “Hot For Words” Marina, or else I would have looked out for her beautiful and distinctive face. Great article, full of well-deserved [plaudits]. I like the soubriquet “linguist with lingerie”; it fits in well with your strapline “Intelligence is sexy” Keep up the good work and make mega-bucks, Marina! And don’t forget to come to England – I’m sure I’m not your only fan here!

      I’m in the film for literally a fraction of a second when the building is blowing up or something.. and I run by the camera a couple times.. I’ll try to find the screen-shots.. it would be funny to put them up!
