While you are recovering, you will be fine. The critical moment in time is after the recovery, when you feel like you can jump buildings in a single bound. That is the time you want to be very careful of any re-infections and exertions. The key is to take it very easy for at least one weeks after recovery and preferably two weeks. Avoid flights and public places if possible. Clean hands often. I use spray bottle of water and lemon juice to keep hands clean. Smell and feel of lemon is refreshing.

Dear sweet Marina, I did not pray any curse upon you! In fact, last night after a late dinner I got all sweaty like I was having the flu. And I thought maybe I needed to eat something to help my blood sugar. And then I developed a serious diherriah. And I expelled my bowels about five times. And I had to shower my rear end off afterwards. One time I did not get seated on the toilet in time and there was runny diaherria all over the bathroom-the toilet seat, on the toilet, in the bathtub, on the floor! I got some of it up but I was so wiped out by the experience my poor mon helped clean it up. That is almost psychic that you and I got sick last night after dinner,. I thought it was something in the jug of orange juice or my bologna was spoiled!!! Kroger did have the bologna on sale for half price!!

It is just my imgaination but as I was going through this, I felt like I was really dying. and in my mind I could imagine a male radio announcer on the Voice of Russia saying they just launched a nuclear attack against the USA!!! I don’t like America or Toledo very much either.

the local goverment here in toledo made so much fun of my beliefs that there will be a nuclear armageddon that at least at one christmas morning they sounded the emergancy siren when it was snowing outdoors-trying ot make it seem like a nuclear warning! Twice you referred light blue colors as green. The first time you said how we liked the site in green when clearly it was blueish colors. I wrote that off as maybe it was true at the time you typed it.
Second time you said you where becoming a little green and I looked at the photos and it’s much closer to blue than green.

Oh the test. That was easy. There is a harder one that I had to take to pass my medical exam for my captains license. I passed in flying colors! Pun intended! There were some I didn’t get right, but tried to answer them to see how well I could differentiate colors. Above normal but nothing special. Not too bad for someone that has a large blind spot in the center of the right eye. Funny thing when I was younger doctors made me wear an eye patch on my good eye in hopes to improve the lazy eye. Did you know that, that color test is the exact same one that the Navy uses for qualifying for the electronics programs. I was able to see all numbers, except the last one which of course was not a number. Also, I am able to hear up to around 17 KHz. Glad that old analog TVs are gone as I could hear those horizontal oscillators quite a distance away.

So far I have managed my sleep well, even though I hate going to bed. One of my secrets for health and vitality and staying alert is a teaspoon of Apple Cider vinegar with a dash of lemon mixed into a 10 oz glass of water.

One thing that bears mentioning is that with the cold and flu season upon us, many people resort to medicines that can knock them out while least expected when driving, or they take medicines that when combined with alcohol can cause blackouts while driving. Not a pretty picture.

My former girlfriend was on muscle relaxers due to an injury she received at Disneyland, and one day she had forgotten she had taken the muscle relaxer and later had a glass of wine. On her way home at 4 AM, she fell asleep at the wheel, crossed several lanes and woke up when she ran across some gravel. She didn’t hit a thing, but is was a clear wakeup call.

I took a color test in the Navy for other reasons, but I didn’t know they did the same for electronic technicians.

I lost part of my hearing because of where I worked in the Navy. After Steering units were rather loud. I think I tested it around 95 to 105dB. Some of my hearing has bounced back. I’m like you and there are some oscillators I can hear that most people do not. I can hear the tv oscillators, but only when I’m in arms reach.
I really don’t think it’s if we can hear the sound but how the brain processes the sound. Some people also call selective hearing.

OCSS says, that the punishment was used in the 15th and 16th centuries. Captain Nathaniel Boteler, (A Dialogicall [sic] Discourse 1634) and Falconer (Marine Dictionary 1711) mention the acts of punishment but I don’t see any date of when the term was first used in the books that I have. It’s time I upgrade my library.

Interesting note, Keel-hauling went out of fashion in most navies at the beginning of the 18th century, being generally replaced with the sinister Cat-of-Nine-Tails punishment.

The Doctor may have put her on an Albuterol inhaler or even put her on a nebulizer machine which uses metered doses of different strengths Albuterol Sulfate or Cromolyn Sodium. Both are bronchial dilators which open up the bronchial tubes so she can expel the fluid build up in her lungs. She should be on a good expectorant like guaifenesin to help get rid of the mucus and other material from the lungs.

What you need, Marina, is a deep-tissue massage. What you do is reach wayyyyy down into the Kleenex box, pull one out and rub it on your nose. :-)
