Be strong and persevere, you'll outlive this. Soon as you get used to dealing with it, it'll go away.

The real question is how to prevent repeats of the episode, once this one's over.

We were lucky. We waited for them to all go outside. When they did, we noticed. The mom was leading her entire platoon of young out through the moonlit grass like so many ducklings. We were able to seal off the entry with a tight row of steel stakes sunk 18" into the ground (so they couldn't easily burrow underneath) and a big flagstone to cover the crack in the slab from the outside. They found somewhere else to live. So far, so good. No casualties.

It all changes over time, though. The floor continues to heave and pitch from one season to the next as the moisture levels in the clay subsoil fluctuate. Who knows where and when the next invasion will occur? Home sweet planet.... ;-)

When I walked out of the door the cloud of stink was hot and floating at eye level, blasted me right in the face.

You can still smell it strongly when the sun warms up the house. But it is dissipating some.

Staycation! Can't say I like this word all alot :???: but you know, language would have been so underdeveloped if it weren't for these little whims so why not embrace it aye?

Im going for a proper vacation though, not a staycation. Just for a few days. Will be back for more words soon enough =)

 We have lots of specialty channels. There are cooking channels, sports channels, religious channels, movie channels,Spanish language channels, news channels, and all the major networks have channels dedicated to the different time zones across the U.S.A. Also PBS(Public Broadcast System sponsored by public donations)broadcasts on several different satellite channels and local stations pick and choose which programs they want to air. There are childrens programs during the day and more adult fare at night. Many British programs like Masterpiece Theater,Are You Being Served?,Prime Suspect, and Fawlty Towers can be seen on PBS. And BBC America is available on Cable and Satellite TV with all British programs. Yes,there are a certain amount of repeats, but the entertainment value is vast!

200 TV channels sounds impressive (kind of) but how many of them are showing repeats? With Sky TV in the UK I'd guess it's about 90%.
Makes the subscription fee sound less than impressive.

John Entwistle, Chris Squire and James Jamerson my fave bassists. Hard to pick. Squire because I think YES is one of the most talented groups ever. John, well, just listen to the bass solo in, 'Who Are You' or 'My Generation' and JJ because the first two learned there licks from them old Motown records.

Hon. Mention- Steve Harris, Bootsy
