Well it only makes sense to have a risque cartoon considering that’s what your videos are. It fits in perfectly. However, I think he took too much artistic license with the picture. Everyone who has seen your videos knows your boobs always hang out of the top of your outfit and not the bottom. That’s totally unrealistic. :roll:

Hey Al, it looks like you have captured the fun side of Marina. I think you’ve captured her spirit nicely. It reminds me of Betty, Veronica, Daisy Duke kind of girl and you brought your own style to the rendering. Great piece of art. What would the critics say if this art work fetched more than million dollars? If I owned it, I would give all the proceeds to Marina because she is one in a million. :smile:

the word “abstraction” in art actually means to be free from representational qualities. this is an example of character art which normally disregards the limitations of realistic representation.

This beautiful woman grown up from romantic violent hippies has become known as the author of the poetic songs with surprisingly graceful and touching melodies. It’s amazing how the same voice copes with her own works, aria of alto from “St. Matthew Passion” by Bach, almost decadent theatre of song, Russian folk Shrovetide calls, and inhuman creaks, wheezes and mutters, rivalling with Sainkho Namtchylak
There are those, perhaps many, who consider non-representational art to be great art. I do not deem non-representational art to be worthy of consideration (the links given in 2.1.1 are to art that is representational).
In regard to the caricature of this post, I would not have know that it was supposed to be a caricature of Marina had it not been for the words in it.

ah, i see. you are correct that a caricature does need to provide an easily identifiable visual reference to the individual to be successful. you are saying that this drawing does not meet that criteria. i can see that. you prefer realism, have you ever run across the italian concept for fine art, “disegno”?

Yes, I know what you mean. When Mad Magazine does a caricature of a person… it immediately resembles the celebrity, politician or the like. This one is OK if you are wearing dark sunglasses, at midnight when there is no moon… and your scuba diving 30 feet under the water’s surface. :shock:
