I think she has by far some of the best and most intelligent videos on YT, although Venetian Princess has some very good and very entertaining ones too (I place her #2 and she has quite a beautiful face to say the least). But I am not going to log into my YT account just for the sake of commenting there!

No, it does not scare me, but I am a little baffled. You have many comments that I may not agree with, but you usually have something constructive to say. I respect your opinions, and I do process them, often changing my own opinions based on some of your thoughts. This opinion, though, caught me as being totally negative. I believe there is a difference in honesty (even blunt honesty) and just being crude.

I do apologize for my judgementality, but I felt that your opinions are usually much more constructive than this. I do not want to start a new “flame war,” so I will leave it at this.

Good point. I worded my comment poorly. I’ll never know Buckley, I do not hate him, and I’m sure he’s a great guy, particularly if Marina has seen fit to favor him with her friendship(I should be so fortunate!). His “schitck” is the thing that makes my skin crawl. To each his own. Apologies to him and to anyone else I may have upset.

I agree. Marina is stuck because she is a partner at YouTube and must show support for other fledgling sites.
Unfortunately, in the past, this has led to abuse that her true fans aren’t as willing to tolerate as she is.

Michael has literally been the nicest person I have ever met in relation to YouTube partners. He really is great guy whether you like his show or not. :-)

I can appreciate you point of view. If you will recall, you were well supported by us fans prior to the the last Live episode Michael Buckley sponsored. It was a shame that this perception was so greatly changed for us by the reality of that presentation. It is a correct assessment that his show, which is clearly degrading to women, is one I do not like :mrgreen:

Marina, I have been thinking … you hosted the video-announcement and liked to its YouTube page three times.

But you didn’t warn us that if we couldn’t make ourselves listen to him, all that needed to be done was to write our choice for Ms. YouTube as a comment at the video’s YouTube page!

I started hearing the video, could not make head or tail of what the guy was saying, but kept listening on to see what needed to be done for you. At the end — after more than 5 minutes of that drivel — I still had no clue. Eventually, I did guess what needed to be done.

Michael Buckley has done very well for himself on Y/T & is recognized outside the Y/T comunnity as well. His Schtick is “gossip” & he dishes it out fast & furious. I hold no anti-michael sentiments although I do hold some anti gossip sentiments, but his show is entertainment fluff & is in my opinion somewhat harmless to the people he pokes fun at. As a matter of fact some probably feel flattered he’d take the time to take a shot at them. I’ve never, OK maybe once or twice, watched a WTB show all the way through but hey, WTF. Not in my realm of desired viewing, but, go Michael\o/
