Regarding “It’s weird what matrix used to mean, right?” Yes. I wish I had know this when I first heard the word in Algebra class — things would have made much more sense and would have been easier to grasp. I had just assumed “matrix” was an arbitrary sound mathematicians came up with.

In ancient times, was matrix used predominantly for any one particular type of animal? Cow? Mare? Hen?

It is also odd that matrix is singular. One would think people kept one or a few male animals (e.g., stallions) and several females for reproduction — so one would expect a collective noun for “female animals kept around for reproductive purposes”.

What is the masculine form of matrix? Aviator-aviatrix, matron-patron … so “pator” :) ? Stallion?

I never saw the “Matrix 3″ fully. {Don’t hit!} The word “Mater” has been used in a Dario Argento horror movie trilogy known as the “Three Mothers”. In the first movie, “Suspiria”, the witch was refered to as ” Mater Suspiriorum”-the Mother of Sighs. In the sequel the second “Mother” was called ” Mater Tenebrarum”-the “Mother of Darkness/Shadows. I’d give it my vote for best action movie scene ever. At that point on first view im sittin there going wtf?!?! … really a good setup for the rest of the flick. Intentional bail on 2 and 3 not to ruin the good memory of 1. Dig good comics greatly and a good comic book based movie = utopia of entertainment for this here nerd.

I did not like the first Matrix movie, and saw none of the sequels.

Yes it makes sense. I wish the regular comments could show up in the email as I don’t check my Twitter to often. I miss some comments for a day or two until I check it.

Hey Mike, I don’t know of a specific Twitter app that does what you ask for, but there are many apps that do fancy things for you.

Maybe twhirl.org might do what you need. I haven’t checked into the details. Also, Google “twitter with firefox” and you’ll see a many twitter plugins for FireFox. Or search, “twitter apps for windows”. Some of the Twitter apps act like an email client where you are notified of incoming twitters and you can read them as if they were email. Sorry, I don’t have a recommendation, but if I find one, I’ll let you know.

I guess some movies were best not to be made into trilogies. I can think of a few other trilogies where the 1st one was good and the other 2 sucked ass, such as Pirates of the Carribean and The Never Ending Story.

Yea I remember him and her very well. It WAS the Human Resources Department that came by that day and sprayed me and said good by. But when I retired from my job I got to keep all of my Fire Fighting gear and insignias and badge. About $3000.00 worth of equipment. The book, The Never Ending Story is very good. It is another of those muli-levels-of-understanding type of “children’s books” that have an awful lot to tell us all, similar to Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Chronicles of Narnia. I highly recommend all these.

1) Although this video has had over 31,250 views, it is no where on YoutTube’s Most Viewed pages; any idea why? I suppose only a few at google know — so a better question would be: have there been previous HFW lessons that were in such a situation?

2) Is it my cache or something such thing or does the YouTube browse page now have Most Viewed as its dafault (albeit second) tab?

I think the unemployment rate here in Canada went up 1% last month & everybody seems to be panicing.
In the 80′s it was 5% at least, higher than it is now, no panic & interest rates were like 14% & higher. no panic.
