On dames, too much perfume makes a stench. The same goes for computer effects in films. Super-slow-mo to depict very quick movement is not all that interesting. Dodging bullets? *yawn* Real serious guys wearing leather overcoats? No thanks. The recent wave of movies have had good actors, good production values, so why are they usually lacking? The writing has been sub-standard. Is this related to the writer's strike? Quien sabe? But one hopes that the money people behind big deal movies begin to recognize that they have to carve off a larger wedge of the budget pie for the writers, and lighten up on the computer stuff.

In CA it is the sellers responsibility to inform the DMV of the sale of the vehicle, as you well know there is a part you tear off from the transfer of owner papers.

The DMV may have something here like that now, but I am leary of whom I sell my vehicles to. I make sure both the top and bottom are signed and sealed. But they could still put a fictitious plate on the vehicle and drive it with no insurance. Danged if you do and danged if you don't. Oh well. Take care pal.

Matrix? "something that constitutes the place or point from which something else originates, takes form, or develops" which could explain the reproductive part of it...but trix...is a feminine noun in Latin. is there some sort of adult thing to do with that?!

I don't know about IL, but in CA, the DMV has a form to inform them of the sale independently of the registration papers. This gets the seller off the hook even if the buyer never does a thing (or does something crooked).

Did you call them up and ask what they were doing in the glove compartment and why they are taking stuff out of vehicles?

And, if it is a franchise (vs. a company-owned operation), you can check with the head shed and find out if anything in their franchise agreement prevents them doing what they did. Also, have you contacted (perhaps through the DMV or even ask the cops to do it for you) the other party to let them know?

Just stir the waters as much as you can to make the shop's owner regret they did it.
