Rosie, I like your jokes$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ :lol: Nothing much to these lil' flies. They simply reinforce my love of peacock as one of the 5 best materials (don't ask) and the fuzziness of wrapped turkey feather fibers turned out to be much fuzzier than when I recently used it for a BWO pattern. This fuzziness is akin to wrapped pheasant tail barbs. Fragile though, hence the ribbing. But, the turkey did give a nice fuzzy look. Also, look at that bottom pattern. I used the most miniscule piece of Rootbeer Krystal Flash, but look at the twist to it and the colors. I tied all these smaller on the size 16 hook. I also didn't resort to the curved shank pupa hook. Mostly just dinking around to see how materials look through the lens and to play with presentation. Winter/early spring are great times to fish small midges given the limited hatches. :lol: Well this works...have a drink...the blue awards at the STReaMies :P

Bazooka Bubblegum Cocktail~~~~~~~

Eben Freeman, bartender of Tailor Restaurant in New York City, developed this bubblegum-infused vodka cocktail. The drink gets its name from Bazooka bubblegum, but Freeman prefers to use Double Bubble because it gives the vodka better color and flavor. This recipe makes enough bubblegum-infused vodka for eight cocktails. If stored in an airtight container, the leftover vodka will last indefinitely.

At Tailor, Freeman makes this cocktail with a house-made sour mix, but for the home kitchen, he recommends this combination of lemon and lime juices, simple syrup, and egg white. The egg white adds a nice frothy head to the cocktail, but is optional. If salmonella is a problem in your area, omit the egg white or use pasteurized liquid egg whites.

16 pieces bubblegum, preferably Double Bubble, cut in half
2 cups (16 ounces) vodka
1 tablespoon (1/2 ounce) freshly squeezed lemon juice (from Â½ lemon)
1 tablespoon (1/2 ounce) freshly squeezed lime juice (from Â½ lime)
1 tablespoon (1/2 ounce) simple syrup
1/2 egg white* or 1 tablespoon pasteurized liquid egg whites (optional)
1 cup ice

*The egg white in this recipe is not cooked. If there is a problem with salmonella in your area omit the egg white or use pasteurized egg whites.
