Thanks, Chemikal. I love her as a sister, making forgiveness that much easier. BTW – MY definition of forgiveness is exactly equivalent to “Complete, and unqualified pardon. Offense never happened in the first place.”

Brown bag lunches! Wow! Well they are much healthier than fast food for sure. This goes to show you how lazy Americans have become. I think we are going to see a lot of things like this. Back to the old ways of doing things. It’s will even become a popular thing to do.

Here’s a surprise: someone’s making a good living off of selling prepackaged brown-bag lunches. Americans have been eating a lot of meals at fast food restaurants, which are not all that cheap…but have forgotten how to pack their own. So they’re buying these bag lunches — cheaper, and even more convenient! :grin:

In the movie Clockwork Orange one of the characters had tooth picks place so to keep his eye lids open. There was some other head gear that kept him facing forward to watch some disgusting videos to break him of some habits. It was a rather disgusting movie. I was using the idea of force feeding lessons to you. LOL….

Evan! Your Mom lived through the Depression! That is my current research project! :mrgreen: I’m trying to retool my business to best adapt to the current depression (aka recession. Now officially recognized. :evil: Definition of a depression is a sustained recession.) I’m looking out for ideas that business came up with to survive those times. What I’m discovering is what worked back then is working today. Shoe repair business are growing like crazy. The movie industry is doing very well. Schools, like mine, are doing very poorly. It’s freaking me out to be honest. :sad:

Those are my suspicions too, PK; all the more reason, then, for Obama to make it compulsory for everyone to attend Hotforwords classes to learn the origins of words so that they know when and where to use them as they were intended to be used. :smile:

Hey Bob, very interesting observation, and I agree with your assessment and there are many words, which escape me at the moment, which also fall into a similar category you described.

Might this fall into a category where certain words are sliding into an area which, through misuse, (evolving) are taking on new and different meanings?

Marina, I have a question about word usage which has occurred to me as a result of a post in the forum.
The person wrote,

“If any topics of my creation are in their ‘most proper’ place, I must admit, it is purely coincidental.”

Am I being too pedantic in suggesting that this is not a correct usage of “coincidental”? I would say “fortuitous” would be more appropriate, and that “coincidental” should only be used if two unconnected things had happened, for instance two people had posted the same thing or one person had done something correctly twice, when they were not renowned for doing so.
Do you have any comments?

I only know what she has told us.
I didn’t google her, and she never contested the fact that she has implants. (I don’t remember her saying she does, but I am pretty convinced about it)
Though in her case, where her motto “Intelligence is Sexy” applies, she could have just gotten them after each diploma! :D
