Ha! Capman911 got a mention. DId anyone ever get the gift? What was it?

I love the disclaimer at the to of the chronological word page, warning that Marinas older work is a little rough. Are you kidding!? Some of that rough work is the best work. Remember, it doesn't need to be clean, polished, and shinny to work. I just needs to be real and personable to make the connection. Something I think has been lost in a lot of the newer lessons. :???:

Someone mentioned on Twitter: "curledmoss @hotforwords Its not Christmas where you came from...different dates or what?...berry good lesson hot4words and all the kisses and fishes".

And I realized that in Russia, where the Orthodox Church is the dominant denomination, Christmas is cerebrated on January 7th, i.e. 13 days after Western Christmas, due to the simple fact that the Orthodox Church <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julian_calendar#Eastern_Orthodox_usage" rel="nofollow">uses the Julian calendar</a> instead of the Gregorian one.

well, just because religion hijacked christmas and attached their meaning to this holiday doesn't mean that it doesn't have any meaning at all for atheists.

Many Christmas traditions have pagan roots and they've become pagan again, but it the modern way (as the festival of unbounded consumption). Why are so many atheists nowadays gonna celebrate <strike>Christmas</strike> this winter festival without any meaning to them?
