She is a yoga teacher in addition to having been a photographer’s model and actress, and since my degree is in Physical Education and I have taught yoga for years, I can say with some authority that she provides an excellent model for practicing Yoga. Homework: IMO most runway models have lovely faces, but bodies like Popsicle sticks. It’s interesting, Capman – that’s one of 2 or 3 jokes I can remember. When I was younger and stupid(more stupid?) I used to engage in some activities for which I was rewarded with a number of concussions. Now certain things are incredibly difficult to remember, such as names, certain past time periods, and even jokes. My neuro-dude says it’s due to specific areas of my brain which received the most trauma. Makes sense, of course. Not too big a deal, really, but does occasionally cause me some embarassment in certain situations.

Now for other Models you suggested. I really like the Blade 400 3D R/C model helicopter. It’s a extremely quick, fully aerobatic helicopter that can hover upside down just inches from the grass. At times it make my palms sweat in fear of messing up. I’ve only had one small blade scrap that needed repair. That comes from practicing 5 times a week for about 30 minutes. Or is it due simply to the widespread adoption of the term for just about anything futuristically magic by movies and the media? I saw a TV commerical for a similar RC toy. They said it flew at an altitude of up to 50′. My first reaction was, what’s difference in the air at 100′ from 50′? Why couldn’t it go to at least a few hundred feet (assuming the range of the radio link was that far)?

What’s to keep someone from loading up a model with explosives and sending it zooming towards the Rose Garden? Do you think they have jammers to prevent that? (Do they periodically send out “full left rudder” in every known control format?) Are the SS that good with their sidearms? Or is the drill just to yell, “DUCK!”?

Who said we where trying for realistic? We are trying to make them lighter to make them more aerobatic. There are some scale helis that would confuse you from the real thing. This one has a true turbine engine. This T O Y will run you about $12,000+. These are not toys you can go and by at wal-mart.

What you saw on TV was a toy. Its the range of the radio gear. Its just cheap crap. Also you have to factor in the limited range of your eye sight. The further up it goes the harder it is to view the model. Flying these things requires good eye sight for you don’t have flight gages in front of you nor do you have the seat of the pants feel.

The new radios now days run on a spread spectrum technology that is difficult to jam but not imposable. They would also have to game your cellphone and all other radios just to be sure. Now days with autopilots in the aircraft you could program it to fly to the Rose Garden. We also work with rocket that are able to travel 3 times the speed of sound. They now require rocket modelers to get background checks in order to fly rockets that have that capability.

As for you last question, sorry, I can’t not indulge that information.

I’m waiting to see if it’s true or not… about the singing. I’m not a fan of those electronic voice adjuster/distorter thingys. But a lot of people use ‘em, so more power to her, I wish her success… would like to hear her sing, with pure voice.

I used to do control-line models when I was in high school. (R/C was way beyond my budget.) But I got tired of spending more time rebuilding than flying. :smile:

I wonder when we will have affordable R/C with stereo cams aboard such that you never look up at the model, you just fly it like a normal aircraft. Maybe a helmet with sensors could steer the cams so that you could look around (I understand UAVs can do that).

How did the TAM guys know where their plane was going to cross the beach? The coast is a big, big place!
