To answer your question, I only have one girlfriend at a time. In college, I got friendly with my girlfriend’s girlfriend and later, they both called mr bad names and I had neither girlfriend at all. So I should have learned my lesson and tried to ignore my girlfriend’s taller, more beautiful girlfriends. :sad:
Did I tell you I saw a movie trailer with Olga Kurylenko. She was born in the Ukraine but moved to Moscow with her mother when she was three. She worked as a model in Paris and London, so she speaks Russian, French and English. She’s in the new James Bond movie, where she looks really good! Did you know Olga when she was in Moscow? Homework: How many friends I have? I have no idea. I couldn’t count them all. I have many friends I have not met yet (online or in person). I have friends all over the world. Which makes this planet a very small world for me.

There is much I have to say to them like how much their influences and suggestions have affected my life. I also wonder the same. I want to tell them that “It worked as you said it would!”
Now I ask, Where are they now? Are their lives better now than before? Did the get the new _____ that they tried so hard to get? Do they miss me as much as I miss them too? So as you can see. Why I try to make time with friends and do things today with friends and not put it off for too long for it may never happen. :wink:

Funny. I hacked my mac many times along with some other macs that were not mine. :twisted: My first hack was on an Apple II computer. It was also considered in todays terms (but I didn’t know it back then), a virus. To kill the virus all you had to do is turn off the computer or reboot it. Oh what fun it was. Since my close encounter with the Secret Service, I have since retired from that hobby. Hackers are not all that bad. Some of them become very successful and well known. You might know of one. His name is Steve Jobs. :wink:

Yes your very correct! I was going to add Woz to my statement but I didn’t think most people here would know who he was. Jobs did do a bit of tinkering with Woz. They both worked on the blue boxes together. Later on through the years Jobs was more focused on the marketing and Woz did the software/hardware work.

Actual friends, the ones you can count on for almost anything, I guess only two. I also have 3 other really good friends, but I don’t think I could count on them for anything. Everyone else is just an acquaintance.

I have made the acquaintance of many people on friendly terms in different worlds, however, given the continual unexpected “gypsy moves” along my life’s path, I have only a few true friends. This is just right.

That was what I was going to suggest was the drivers. Go to your printers web site and see if they have a newer driver for your printer they are free for download. My Windows Vista will loose the driver for my HP printer ever so often. I’ll delete the printer in the printer section and Windows will reload another HP driver for me. Could be your printer is just getting tired. :smile:

I have read a very interesting academic article about definition of “friend” by Anna Wierzbicka. (Do you know her? She is a very famous linguist)
The definition of “friend” is quite different from culture to culture. According to her, the definition of “friend” for Americans is so broad while that of Russian is so narrow. So if you think you have many friends in America, most of them are not really considered as friends in Russia. Funny huh?
