Even though it was a brand new location, once I got to the check out counter the teenage girl who was my cashier made a mistake on the computer and had to call the manager over to correct it. He came around and did his thing on the cash machine, at which point I asked him if he knew whether or not they had any openings on the overnight stock crew. He explained that they had just hired about 20 new stockers, and right as I walked toward the front of the store, I got this strange feeling that this same thing had happened to me before. Right down to how the not-so-friendly cashier acted as if I had ruined her whole day somehow while gossiping to her fellow worker about some dude's chrome wheels.
