A Valentine Education

a real-time poem written on the spot

A year has passed since I discovered the notebooks
Twelve of those 3 ring binder notebooks that you see at places like Office Max and Staples lined the shelf
Though no one had come across those for years until by chance I discovered the find
There was thick dust on the shelf and it looked more like Grandpa Munster's chemistry books he stored down in his laboratory

I peeled a binder from the shelf as the pasts cobwebs clung hold to the notebook like sticky taffy
It made an eerie sound- Indescribable
As I opened the notebook images began to flash out like pieces of anatomy illustrations revealing their hidden mysteries to me

There were family photos and medical records that aged to an odd sepia pigment ink color, that of cuttlefish
As I scanned over the material an emotional wave ran through my entire being
How can this be! Oh, how can it be so!
As the pictures told the tale the story unfolded to reveal a former lifetime

Shaken and my hands feeling numb I continued to read on
I had to know, there was no way to turn back now
Like toothpaste escaping from the confines of it's tube,
Once it was squeezed out it would be useless to attempt to put the paste back

Now I understood from reading the priliminary reports
Her name was in the file, and her story was in there too
What had become of her?
I read on

She was born and raised in a small fishing town
Her father was a fisherman...

The Romantic Date

Somehow I managed to reach you through a busy signal
After the hotforwords ring tone a teacher's voice came over the speaker, sounded like a love jingle
You told me that it would be a date we would both never forget
You said it would be the only time you would ever call me "teacher's pet"

I wondered if you were really interested in dating another that you had conversed with on the net
For I never really considered myself your official teacher's pet
The ringing in my ears however convinced me to carry on
What if she is bored of me already? I listened hard, was that teacher's yawn?

"Be here around 8pm and you better not be late"
Like that mad hatter I was off to a very important date
I rang the bell and she opened the door
Gulp, seeing her there in all her glory was like I already scored!

These Godiva chocolates are quality sweet like you blondie girl
Let me escort you to my car and we'll go for a whirl

So we went for a ride and I handed her the soap bubbles
What happened next? let's just say I played Barney Rubbles
And my date said yes to being my tonight's Betty
An hour passed by and we were both in heaven, how she made me feel! Wealthier than John Paul Getty!

We got back to her place and we lit the vanilla candles
Slid into some big fluffy robes and put on some sandals
A hot bath was drawn our bodies lit softly together in the candle's warm glow
The rest is private stuff that only me and my teacher know

~best date ever~

Happy Birthday Marina!!!

I got to talking it up on your origami vid with VolcanicMagma and he suggested I write you a birthday poem so I guess I will do that here and now & just for you

Marina, I know you love words so what better gift than a bunch of words just for you on this special occassion ~ your birthday
To remember a time when happy meant it was alright to be happy to "be happy", and no one took any offense to the word gay

So if December 10th came and went already may you please accept this birthday card which ~for you~ it was sent
Even if the words came out wrong and the card got bent
Tis still a birthday message filled with joyous intent

Like all your students getting together and getting you a cake
Who gladly went out and bought extra cases of icing
To personally sign their names in vanilla frosting for your sake

To those happy students who love you and who have bought your calander and who will buy your book
For those millions who have checked out your videos just to take a good look
And of course for gazillions more to come who'll soon be joining in on hotforwords classroom funtyme nook

To discover new word origins and learn about words
Even stuff about blurbs and how it's cool to be nerds
Learning done in style, in contrast, and in high definition clarity
With Marina skillfully adding for good measure her fine sense of hilarity

*Happy Birthday Teacher*
ps: I would love to write more but since I will see you in class again soon this'll do it for now. Maybe one day I will ask you for the word origin of baboon.

All the best,
GreatestPotential

as promised:

I dreamed about a sexy Russian mail order bridezilla
The name on the order form read- 1 Herzogova Milavasillia
I sent a postal money order and waited for my package to arrive in the mail
Then when she arrived we'd leave this crazy city together and set sail
for some private island beach resort where we'd scoop our sand castles from a pail

The doorbell rang and I opened the door and there stood a UPS dude and a box large enough to hold a refrigerator
"Sign right here please" I quickly scrawled out my John Hancock with the electronic pen and waved him goodbye
Then immediately began to peel the package open with a a "sigh"

I grew excited for there was movement inside the box
And ripped the box wide open and there stood goldilocks
There she stood in a blue Russian dress and white frilly socks
A happy smile on her face, omfg! she's so beautiful this rocks!

So we hugged and she was all warm on me and stuff
Then we went inside and she showed me her muff
I told her that I knew when enuff was enuff
But she didn't understand any english except for a few words off the cuff

Didn't matter, we made hot passionate love on the couch
Then right afterwards we headed to the kitchen and she hopped onto the counter
I slapped her thighs with spatulas and then I mounted her
Then we did it on the stairs and did it on some chairs like a pair of wild uncontrollable Russian bears

Seemed so real that when I actually awoke I imagined I was still dreaming and I wanted to go back and do it all again real soon!

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
your hair is like that of an early morning dew and warm sunshine upon golden hay
soft, yes, sawft braids and pigtails you do wear
your hair dangles and thus makes for a most lovely pair

it's been said a good student does not stare
so I knew detention was coming when you gave me that glare
coz during the entire classtime I stared at that pair
no, not eyeballing a pair of boobies t'was teacher's fine hair
made me feel all uneasy as I squirmed in my chair

you made me stay after class
made me feel like a donkey's ass
I soon got over that sensation
not talking extramarital relations
not even sure what that means anyway
your hair braids reminded me of fresh baked bread and morning's first streaming light of ray
got to writing this poem soes you can have a more romantic day

ain't innocence that lost but guilt did really nothing for me
a kid waiting to climb up that rope and ladder on a big oak tree
whatever it takes to make me feel free
cracking walnuts and drinking iced tea

more poems to come
