The length will be only what is needed, and nothing more. Rather than muddle things up with wearisome and wordy explanations of the opposite of pithy, I will just give it to you straight no way will I pull any punches with endless diffuse, protracted and redundant exposition on a clear and simple answer.

I had learned a different definition for “pithy.” In addition to being brief, “pithy” also had to get to the core, or center of the concept. For example, it would be pithy ti say, “She’s Hot!” Non-pithy would be “She looks so fetching and attractive in that black, off-the-shouder dress, and that lavender dress with black trim was an eyecatcher, too.”

you must have settings wrong if vegas is making your files really large. vegas is very powerful and worth the effort to become accustomed to! i had that problem too, but i fixed it.
when i render files, theres some options around there.
i forget what i did, but i know i changed it to save the file types as ‘mpeg2′ or something like that. i think the word ‘compressed’ might be in there? just play around with the different file types to find what works for you. :)

James, you just have to learn how to render your videos. You can render to many formats and compressions. A 15 sec clip can be rendered as small as 48 KB and a decent quality version is only 1 MB.
