As I work mainly from home, I have know need for a car presently. I enjoy cycling to keep fit as with seeing friends and family. If I need to get someplace quickly I will call up Ronnie the Terbonater taxi man who is most reliable. Also have good train network to London, 25mins or less. All being said, thinking of buying a new car soon as I love driving the B roads so a sports mid engine will be the go. Love to kick the back end out when PC Plod isn't about

Your comment to me on the Leeches video.

There are too many guys on this site. Marina is trying to reel in some gals by creating "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants.

Your right Lividemerald. More furnishing catering toward the feminine side would maybe help by getting some more ladies to join the site. It would also help if their comments wouldn't be chided by the other members who disagree. I can see disagreeing with someone, but make sure you do it proper that the person does not feel offended by the other persons comment. I have seen at least 4 females leave because of comments that they had made and it didn't suit someone so they were picked on for it. I think a little more kindness would help on every ones part. Discussions are creative thinking and people learn from them, but if a person feels like they are going to be ridiculed by each comment they make then they will leave. Sorry t take up so much of your time, but thanks for listening.

Sometimes, though, I DO not save gas. Today, I drove 95 miles round trip to Mt. Charleston so that I could escape the 100+ F heat in the Las Vegas Valley by hiking the Bristlecone Trail, which is a 6.1-mile loop trail between 8700 and 9400 feet altitude. I figured it would be 75 F or 80 F up there. And sunny! Boy, was I wrong! It began to get windy. The wind brought in a cold chill from the black clouds that were piggybacking the Spring Mountain peaks. Then it began to rain. Then it began to hail. And thunder! I was already a couple of miles into the trail, and standing under ponderosa pines with lightning possibly afoot didn't seem wise. So I bucked up and walked and walked, the raindrops smearing my vision through the pair of glasses i wear, the hailstones bouncing like popcorn off my head. I got drenched, and then I got even wetter... But I finished the trail in just 2 hours and 20 minutes. Why did I tell this story? Oh, yeah. I used about 5 gallons of gas so that I could fight off rain, wind, hail, and chill. Now I'm back in my little humble abode. And it's hot and sunny. I miss those wonderful little hikes. I'm off to the gas station.....

I read an article that stated that not only does the Northwest Passage open up a couple of months every year now, but that in the near future, nearer than previously thought possible, the Arctic Ocean will be ice-free. As for me, I'm not worried about global warming. it's already 115 F in Las Vegas, so I say, "Bring it on!"
