i knew about the birds been snipes but the sniper is not just a person used to slot people at long ranges like officers but most of there work is reconnisence to watch people and gather information for commanders in the base. sniper battles are rare but have happened as in the famous battle at stalingrad between the famous vastieli seightseth im not sure how its spelt maybe u can help me. against the major of the german sniper school. most snipers when taking shots are used in close support of main attacking as they provide good cover. the ghille suit used by snipers also came about through scottish gamekeepers in the early 20th century and became battlefield snipers as they could utilise the ghille suit to become almost invisible.

I thought a snipe was a ficticous animal. When I was younger the older kids would send the younger ones on a "snipe hunt" just to get rid of them for a while.

A Gutter Snike,,,,,snipe

Thinking that would be a sniper on the roof top, by the gutter, maybe....

....now I think it must have something to do with the gutter press media. Sneeking around waiting to ctatch a photo of a celeb with out them knowing......

or maybe a snipe that has evolved and moved into the cities leaving snipers in fields, making home in the gutters!! One clever bird if that is the answer

Two weeks is fourteen days. I believe that fortnight came from an old spelling for fourteen. Why night and not day? I think it had to do with when one would be paid.
