thanks for the translation thing, kaibanator, but …

Another case of a beautiful woman who post their comments in video on the Internet is Marina, who is a psychologist and devotes its space Hot For Words on YouTube to make comments on sexuality and other topics of interest.

    say what?

  • melikadothechacha

Lost in translation? what – from chinese
to french then english? This journalist
choked on a good story. See how
    rumors get started?

  • melikadothechacha

    Before I crash this all on the journalist;
could the error be the translation?

  • http://www.kunstscheiss.de aLx

    don’t think so.

    original:

Otro caso de una mujer hermosa que postea sus comentarios en video en internet es Marina, quien es psicóloga y dedica su espacio Hot For Words en YouTube para hacer comentarios sobre sexualidad y otros temas de interés.

I tried it on Babel Fish (btw they are now property of Yahoo) and had similar text.

I would have to blame the journalist. I’ve been misquoted many times even when Im face to face with them and go over their notes to correct them. They just are there to collect a pay check sometimes.

  • annuddermale

    ¿Qué?…

  • kaibanator

 yeah i know…it’s not my translation as such dude…It was either a) the newspaper’s typo to begin with or b) google mis-translating :(

  • http://www.kunstscheiss.de aLx

    yeah, I know.
and google didn’t mistranslate. the journalist just fucked up. :)

  • chejo

  • http://www.hotforwords.com Marina

It also says Lisa Nova’s videos are often accompanied with a glass of alcohol.. which is so funny.. she made one video where she pretends to be drunk!

  • BillyB

Well at least they spelled Matina correctly although I don’t always fet it right. Journalists… My sister in law wrote for our local paper for a short while, she got laid off (fired) for doing too much research… was told she was hired for her creative writing skills, not accuracy :???:
Anyways to quote someone more famous than I

“I don’t care what they write about me, as long as they spell my name right”

Polititions know to get their name up in front of as many people as possible, any way they can (almost) & then when people get into the voting booth, they may vote for the name they remember best & not the one who cares about them, or is right for them, hence all the signs everywhere. Ironically even the most environmentally concious politicians have been known to litter the landscape with their own name.
At least Hotforwords is what it is & I enjoy listening , watching, learning, participating & cheering your efforts. Go Marina :!:
You mentiond Billy O’. still on?

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/stokesjrj1 stokesjrj1

OH i thought it meant you were knocked up in a small Mexican motel womb

  • melikadothechacha

    Que?
    oh ewe wascalwy wabbit

  • melikadothechacha

I guess they let anybody with a pencil be a journalist these days?
To say the journalist got it wrong is a broad understatment.
Too many tortillas – the author’s ate up. Probably needs
    a ziploc bag*, too

Q: What’s one worse than being “ate up”? A: nine up

    * i can’t give you this reference – might be offensive to people who are sensitive about their weight – “just leave my chickens alone”

  • melikadothechacha

    That article is priceless.
I would let it stand – no retraction
    The facts are mostly untrue,
    Hysterical – Doctor Marina, APA
“open your mind and say AHHH”
    coff coff

  • hutchiee

    Who’s Matina?

  • hutchiee

At least the research for the article went as far as watching one video from HotForWords and LisaNova – though it’s apparent that based on one video some sweeping assumptions were made about all.

LisaNova – “often accompanied by a glass of alcohol.”

Marina – “make comments on sexuality and other topics of interest”

It’s in print, you know someone will use this article as the basis of research for something else. Next you’ll be called before some Senate Committee On Internet Sex because of this.

  • BillyB

Thanks for noticing, makes my point on accuracy. I have a subconcious self presevation instinct that kicks in too… My wife’s name is Mary & if I inadvertantly add the “na” sufix to her name when I adress her, I’ll have some ‘splainin to do

  • buzzword

‘splanin to do… i love lucy reference.

  • dstrdm

This article is wrong, it says

Otro caso de una mujer hermosa que postea sus comentarios en video en internet es Marina, quien es psicóloga y dedica su espacio Hot For Words en YouTube para hacer comentarios sobre sexualidad y otros temas de interés.

bla bla bla beautiful woman bla bla bla Marina, who is a PSYCHOLOGIST and she dedicates her Youtube channel to comment about SEXUALITY and other interesting subjets.

  • lostforwords

dstrdm, you are right  . I am glad they have a competant correspondent in the US as well as a highly fastidious fact checking desk in Mexico! What a joke……..

  • lostforwords

But as the saying goes: “There is no such thing as bad publicity!”
