Congratulations on your new home. I hope you will be very happy there. Which balcony do I get to roost on?

  • http://www.kunstscheiss.de aLx

    what was that at 7:07?
“in german it sounds even … english”?
    I didn’t get that.

bübbi almost sounds like booby? I think I was trying to say. Paged comments are back off… I think with the javascript comments.. where it doesn’t have to reload the page might help.. plus I turned off post ratings (possibly slowing things down).. but some of the pages are like 600K with 700 comments.. so we’ll see if the server can handle it.

It’s IMPOSSIBLE to find comments with comment pagination on.. I see what you were talking about aLx

  • http://www.kunstscheiss.de aLx

yeah, thanks for turning it back off. (I don’t care if anyone else appreciates that but I fucking do.)

hm. “bübbi” sounds different. /u:/ is generated in the upper rear. I think “Ñ‹” is in the upper middle.
so “ü” ( /y/ )is closer to that one. it’s generated up front, just like / i /. the only difference between / i / and /y/ is the position of the lips. /i/ being articulated with the mouth wide open, /y/ with round lips, round, like, when articulating /o/.
that probably is not of interest to anyone. I just put it here for the record.

Okay, you have a point that one doesn’t see sexy teachers too often. But sometimes, we choose who our teacher will be, so this is where you come in.

Cogratulations on your new home, I trust it will create a better environment for your video productions, or at least keep that traffic noise a little further from your microphone.

    Peace.

  • pennsyltucky9

    Congratulations.

Nice show Marina, I get quiet ecstatic from listening to your voice. Oh yes Happy New Home.

I agree with aLx that the paged comments were more trouble than they were worth.
I also find it unnatural, when trying to catch up with what has been going on whilst \i was away, that the replies to comments are in the opposite direction to the rest. You are reading the page from the bottom up, in order to see what has been written in the correct order, and suddenly you have to scroll through a lot of replies and reverse to see the replies in the correct order.
    Hope that makes sense.

Better lighting. I was kicked out of my previous place because there is a new addition to the household.. but I will leave that part as a mystery :-) Which will be discovered shortly in upcoming videos, I’m sure

I’ll Miss the old place. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=2pU9tpq_t9E&feature=related Hope you got some good memories from the old place. I do.
Only moved a few times myself & still go past the old house my dad built when I was an infant… still there & proudly at the top of a hill… things were black & white then.
Bless the new place with great memories Marina, hope birds visit you there too.

awesome show marina big congratz :D

I felt the exactly same way stretch did when he got the “midget” answer correct, as I also went for number 3 :)

I enjoyed the show immensely…I sooooo wish Australia had this radio station :D It’s great too see another side of you when we hear you on the radio :D

I hope everything worked smoothly for you with your new place :)

By the way, you’re a naughty girl and need to stay after class ;)

  • kaibanator

also congratz for another soon-to-be appearance on the Bill O’Reilly Show

  • KlaxonCow

I guessed the “midget” one correctly, because, here in the UK, I know folks who still use the term “midgie” all the time.

Although, often not strictly correctly, as they tend to call every small annoying flying insect thing that bothers them “bloody midgies”, whether it is technically the right kind of fly or not.

But, then again, that’s more than understandable. Who cares about precise species identification when they’ve got all these annoying little things buzzing around their heads?

Not least because the damn things are far too small and buzz around too quickly to be able to work out what they are by sight anyway, even if you did want to get pedantic about it.

Though I was impressed with Stretch’s reasoning. Because, as I hinted at by including the word “bloody” in front of “midgies”, the word is always uttered in annoyance, with absolutely no love lost, at the little bloody things to stop buzzing around and just fuck off, that applying it to small people is, indeed, a touch on the pejorative side.

Good on Stretch trying to “reclaim” the word positively. He’s a total perv, of course. But a total perv with his heart in the right place. Sort of.

  • nw2394

Apparently they don’t have midgies in the States….

Seriously, it is a struggle to listen to the whole thing because he is so asinine.

  • laconickid201

Funny thing… I could actually see the host’s face when you said “boobs” because it’s the same face I made

  • jsmooth5atl

Congrats on your new home. Maybe you should give us a tour. I used to call my friend a “midget” because he was the shortest kid in my class.

Hey, interesting thing I noticed was that the word babo in Korean means stupid just as babos means to stammer and bobo, as you mentioned, being stupid. Sidetracking, bobo in Korean means kiss. I guess it might just be coincidence since I doubt the Korean language got its words from Latin origin, but maybe, which I doubt again, it could be one of those first words you learn and say as a baby that is universal in pronunciation in many languages. Ma-ma, pa-pa, and then ba-bo :) Then maybe people got offended that their babies were saying ba-bo as one of their first learned words so they made the word harder to pronounce and, thus, later learned in life :p
